Thank You for the Journey – unmasked.poker is Shutting Down

Thank you for playing with us.

When we launched unmasked.poker, our idea was simple: create an easy way for friends to play poker together online — without downloads, without complicated setup, and with a social experience that feels as close as possible to sitting around the same table.

Over the years, many people have used unmasked.poker for private home games, club nights, small tournaments, livestreams, and regular poker evenings with friends. Seeing a small but loyal community grow around the platform has meant a lot to us.

Unfortunately, we have now reached the difficult decision to shut down unmasked.poker on July 31, 2026.

Please note that all user data, game data, clubs, statistics, and account information will be permanently and irreversibly deleted after the shutdown on July 31, 2026. After this date, it will no longer be possible to access or recover any data stored on the platform.

This decision was not made lightly. The platform has been running for several years, and while we are incredibly grateful that so many players continue to enjoy it, the growth has unfortunately not been sufficient to cover the ongoing costs of development, maintenance, and hosting in the long term. At the same time, expectations for online services continue to rise, and we can no longer provide the level of investment and quality improvements that the platform deserves.

As our team focuses its time and resources on other projects, we can no longer give unmasked.poker the attention it would need to continue growing as a community platform.

We know that many of you have spent countless hours here — organizing games, building clubs, and creating memories around the virtual poker table. That is what makes this decision especially difficult, and we sincerely wish there had been another way.

If you would like to continue playing poker online with friends, we can recommend PokerNow as a great alternative. It offers a similarly simple way to organize private poker games and keep your regular poker nights going.

Most importantly, we want to say thank you.

Thank you for your feedback, your patience, your recommendations, your bug reports, and for being part of this project over the years. We are grateful for every game created, every tournament played, and every group of friends that came together through unmasked.poker.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
